Kasabian- “Empire” July 29, 2006

Through work experience, I managed to completely miss this songs launch. Having really loved their debut album, I had been disappointed by the new stuff they played at “T in the Park”. And then I saw the video. Pretty fucking amazing. Kasabian have out done themselves with this cinematic epic. Its better than the Pirates of the Caribbean! I disliked the song at first, but its growing on me, and could have been a festival favourite if they released the new album earlier.

Props for qouting Wilfred Owens “Dulce et Decorum Est” at the end.

This weird Dr Who style riff is not usually my cup of tea but by jiminy the song and videogram are stuck in my head. Anyone got lyrics? Can’t find them and am too lazy to transcribe.

Lovely

No Milney is right it is Latin and the translation is correct. However in this video it is meant sarcastically.
